Kawasaki Z1000 1982

Greetings, I would offer here my classic and reliable Kawasaki Z1000 This is a Z1000J model, also known in the States as a KZ1000 or KZ1000J.

It has been upgraded to be an Eddie Lawson Replica; and is a very imposing bike and always gets comments wherever it is seen.

Specs: - Bored out to 1103 cc - Racing air filters - Strengthened swing arm - Seat recovered 6 months ago - New Kwaka GPZ 1100 pipes fitted - 6 speed box - Twin Disks on the front. - Rego till 02/13 - WOF till 05/13 - 20 litre tank - Back brake recond a year ago. - Top end overhaul about 5000kms ago.

Bike is used by me as a commuter over the summer and starts first time and goes well. I cover 500kms per week when I am using it.

The bike does not blow any smoke, and it doesn’t rattle.

It has been maintained for reliability, not to be pristine. It’s here ready to go, however if you wanted to restore it further then this would be an excellent basis as all the parts are there.

Lastly, it also comes with a box of parts plus a workshop manual.

Note that the Odo and Speedo are in Miles. Odo reads 40,400 miles which = about 65000 kms.

Oh, in case anyone asks.... sorry I do not have the original J headlight.

note also that the stains on the ground by the front wheel are water....from a last minute wipe down before I took the photos.
