Description

Great Bike, in excellent condition.

Regularly serviced and always garaged. Runs very smoothly and has heaps of power to burn.

For a bike of this size it also handles very well, if you can keep it under 120km/h it is fuel efficient.

Front tire (Michelin Road Pilot2) still has tread left but will need replacing within the next year if ridden regularly. Rear tire (Michelin Road Pilot3) is near new with heaps of life remaining.

Reluctant sale due to buying a house. Delivery anywhere in North Island can be negotiated. Hawkes Bay and Auckland free. Bike is currently located in Manawatu.

Trade includes officialy licenced 1.14 scale model Transformer.

Specs: Engine:Liquid Cooled DOHC 16 Valve Top Speed: 300Km/h (186 mph) Weight: 210 Kg (462lb) Brakes:Twin Discs Front, Disk Rear Max Power: 176bhp @11000 rpm Suspension: Telescopic front, single shock rear

"The mean and rapid ZX12R with which Kawasaki entered the new millenium was a potent reminder that the firm that had made its name with big four cylinder superbikes was still a major force. With its rocket like acceleration and top speed of 300km/h the ZX12R challenged Suzukis Hayabusa for the title of Worlds Fastest Superbike. The ZX12R like is rival was very, very fast. Equally important, it soon became apparent that Kawasaki had not fallen into the trap of cocncentrating on pure speed to the detriment of all else. The ZX12R also worked well at normal velocities and was a good looking and technically interesting bike. Ironically the 1199c Liquid cooled engine was not the bikes outstanding feature. The DOHC unit was essentially an enlarged version of the motor from Kawasakis 900cc ZX-9R, with fuel injection instead of carburettors. A ram air induction system stuck out below the twin headlights, helping boost peak output to a heady 176 bhp at 11000rpm. The most innovative part was its monocoque (onepiece) hollow aluminium frame. The ZX12R is an impressive machine- stunningly fast, pleasantly flexible, stylish, comfortable and versatile."
