Yamaha FZR 250 1987

This is a great little bike - much quicker than the 250's that are available new these days.

This bike has been a project of mine for the last few months but unfortunately other commitments are preventing me from finishing it. All it needs for finishing is a fairing kit (available in various colours from dhgate.com for approx $400 landed in NZ) or alternatively mount an aftermarket headlight and front indicators and turn it into a sweet little street fighter.

Because the front fairing's busted the headlight and indicators (these will come with the bike) can't be mounted so it has no Wof and the reg is on hold.

Runs well, idles fine and revs all the way to the 17,000 rpm redline and sounds super sweet doing it.

The previous owner bolted a newer engine from a 3ln model into the frame so the odometer reading is not accurate.

Bike has had fresh oil and oil filter as well as the following:

New Pirelli Sport Demon Tyres (only ridden on once up and down the street). New chain and front sprocket. New fork and dust seals. New front master cylinder rebuild kit. New Yuasa battery. New fuel pump. Carbs serviced.
