1969 BMW 2000

This is a 100% full restoration job or of course an extensive set of parts for someone.

There is no paperwork or plates for this vehicle.

I was told that only 13 came into the country and at least 7 had already been wrecked for parts over 20 years ago so bit of a rarity.

As per photos: Everything is stripped. The rolling chassis has been sitting outside for some years.

The story goes - panel beater had started on the body work but had financial troubles so did a runner so he didn't have to pay the lease on the unit he was working from and taking the money given to him for the panel & paint job leaving the chassis sitting outside. By the time people realised some months later...thus why the vehicle is as she is.

Engine is out and stripped with all the other car parts sitting in boxes stored inside with the important front badge and grill, tail lights, trim and dash instruments etc.

I found a list of engine parts that were purchased for it – replacement crankshaft, camshaft, pistons and rods are there with the origianl parts and the list also included oil and air filter, frost plug, v-belt and rotor.

It would appear it is an automatic and that the headlights and bumbers never came with the vehical but as the parts have been stored inside all these years they are in good condition compared to the body.

The right person will know what they're looking at and viewing is probably better than asking me what I don't know. It will be great for it to go to someone who can do a better restoration job than the person who started it.
