1981 International Fire Truck / V8 engine
Description
This 1981 International V8 Fire engine is part of the Wellington Fire Museum collection.
After two recent theft's of fire equipment ($10000) from the museum collection and the New Zealand Fire Service informing me in April they would not support the museum through equipment donation it has been decided to dispose of the collection.
The fire engine has been well maintained since it's disposal in 2008 from the Morrinsville fire brigade and was purchased by myself on advice from the fire service mechanic. It has recently had the starter motor replaced ($1200) and will be sold with new COF and Reg and up to date RUC.
It has 74,500 kms on the clock (RUC 41350 (paid to 42000) as pump run off gearbox and PTO)and is in extremely tidy condition. It has been used every weekend attending children's parties and community events. It has a 6.4 Litre V8 with a 5 speed gear box.
Some technical stuff- It has a Darley Champion Fire pump and 1800 Litre water tank. It is fitted with 1 hose reel with an Elkhart branch. There are 7 large storage lockers. The fire engine was built by Mills Tui of Rotorua.
I hope that the fire engine goes to a new owner who takes great care of it as I have. I would be happy for you to test drive and could assist with relocation at your cost. I will also include 4 black fire helmets and Silver fire coats from the 80's.
There is a 20cm scratch on the rear bodywork (see photo)
