BMW 325i e30 M50B25 1989

Awesome 325i m50b25 engine transplant 133000k

Originally a standard automatic 325i with SOHC m20b25. When converted engine had 126000k body 260000k

Conversion was under a certain power increase threshold, mounts were all standard and all bolted up so didnt need certification.

The BMW M50b25 is a straight-6 DOHC which replaced the M20b25. Produced 1990-1996 in 325is e36 and 525ix e34

This car performs far better than my standard 325. Tidiest ive ever owned

The power to weight ratio of this engine means the engine is in fact very fuel efficient which can also be due to the engine being much newer technology. The DOHC also allows this car to perform awesomely on the open road and up hill etc

The engine is quiet and has a nice pur compared to standard 325 as tappets usually get noisy

One of the only flaws was small surface rust on the roof which was removed but the paint job isn’t a perfect match

The front seat has a rip and dash has a small crack which is pretty standard for e30s. Otherwise everything in the car is pretty straight and functioning
