BMW 635csi 1986

Here it is gentlemen, your chance to own one of the best looking cars ever made for a crazy $1.00 reserve! There is a catch though, the transmission has lost all drive in both forwards and reverse. I am unsure what the issue is, it may be a simple fix, it may not be. I haven’t looked into it as I was planning on doing a manual conversion, but time has got away on me and I now have other interests now.

So I am reluctantly selling my 1986 BMW 635csi ///M. This is a factory motorsport model but not the M635 (M6 in the states) It has all the M635 options but not the engine. Black leather interior (so much nicer than the brown or the blue ones!) genuine BMW split rims with good 235/45R17 tyres on them, all electrics work, AC could do with a re-gas at some stage. Interior is very tidy, the engine is faultless and very clean, heaps of power and torque from the big six and it sounds great too. The body work is all straight with no rust. This is a very tidy, un-molested and original car, apart from the addition of a CD player and some better speakers, the photos say it all. I had this imported from Japan where it was imported new, I then got it vined and registered here. It was a one owner from new car in Japan and I am the only NZ owner so you could say two owners from new, not bad for a 26year old car! I have full service history from BMW Japan and all the paperwork and hand books to go with it. It is an absolute pleasure to drive and in my opinion would be one of the better 635’s around (apart from the trans issue) gets plenty of admiring comments where ever I take it. Plates go with it too.

Has always had VTNZ wof’s and the rego is on hold. Maybe a great Targa or classic race car project with a manual conversion.
