Ford Barrel Nose Camper 1939

Imagin rockin up to the beach hop in this. Engine 400m Ford was rebuilt back in the late ninetys with the intention of running on LPG. Crankshaft grind, Brgs, Rings, Camshaft & Lifters and Timing Set.Heads rebuilt with k liner guides, seats cut and new stainless valves. C6 ridgeback Transmission. Diff original full floating diff with resplined axles to 31spline. Diff housing strenghened with strong back. F250 9 3/8 head with 4.3 ratio. Conversion was done by a registered NZHRA Technican. Brakes were rebuilt with wheels cylinders & master cylinder resleeved and brake shoes relined. Body as can se seen in photos, has rust in front door posts & bottom of rear guards. But otherwise still very solid for 74 yr old vehicle.Back door has had wooden door frame rebuilt & is currently screwed shut, has hinges in place still, so could be made to work again. Wheels were galvanised by a previous owner. Its 4berth with double bed & bunks. Gas cooker, sink & bench, 3way fridge.12volt & 230v electrics, fresh water tank. Full head room, lots of draws & cupboards for storage. The awning can be attached or used free stand. The vehicle is for sale as i havent used it since 2003,the rego is on hold. Its a as is sale, but i will make sure motor is running, usually starts 1st pop.Vehicle is in Silverdale. Always gets lots of attention at all events.
