Very rare Mark 1 Escort RSS. Stood for Ray Stone Superford. Was essentially a 1300 escort into which they fitted a 1600 GT engine, clutch and gearbox - heavy duty front struts, springs and brakes from the RS rally range from the UK. Heavy duty rear shocks - 6J wheels with larger tyres and higher axle ratio. These were sold in 1970 by John Andrew Ford with a division called Superford specialising in performance parts and service throughout New Zealand.
