Mazda MX-5 Supercharged !!!
Simply Awesome! This car has been garaged the last 14 years of my ownership. The engine was reconditioned about 30,000 km ago, at which time a 4th Generation MP62 Eaton Supercharger was fitted. This is not the Jackson Racing kit which uses a small M45 blower – this is its Big Daddy. The engine head was professionally ported as was the supercharger and supercharger intake in the US. The build is supported by a Flyin’Miata Link ECU, Boost and AFR gauges, knock detection and control. Dyno tuned over about 8 hours with multiple runs for safe and reliable power. The setup puts down around 240-250 rwhp (wheels) and 200 ftlb torque. The drive is more akin to V-8 setup in its power delivery but quite civilised, yet the car retains the handling of a stock MX-5, which was what originally put these cars into the sports car hall of fame.
