Nissan Datsun 240K GT 1974

Datsun 240K (C110 Nissan Skyline) GT Hardtop, 1974, NZ New, Japanese assembled. Been stored in a barn for years. PLATES ON HOLD.

Heritage The 240K is the export version of the C110 Skyline 'Kenmeri', the first model with the heritage 4 round tail lights. Very rare, few have survived.

Potential With plates on hold this is a unique opportunity for a classic or old school resto. Create a period original or GTR replica.

Body Underneath a poor paint job there is little serious rust for a 38 year old Datsun. The structural stuff appears sound - sills, inner guards, floorpans, spare wheel well, boot floor, chassis rails, suspension towers, firewall etc - pretty amazing for one of these. Bottoms of doors good. There is perforation rust/old bog at the bottom of the rear guards and a few holes at the base of the front screen. Small amount top RH under the boot seal. Top of LH C pillar has light surface rust only. To be 100% certain viewing is recommended. Sill chrome strips, original centre console (substitute included) & the lower & RHS chrome strips on the back screen are missing. Driver's seat upholstery is torn (passenger's good), back seat tops same. Dash has splits. Headlining, door cards & side trims good. Aftermarket carpets included, not fitted. Door and boot rubbers appear good. RH taillight broken and replacement included.

Mechanical Fitted with an L26 http://youtu.be/VWLRmXtxCeg Has a 5 speed, synchros good + original 4 speed. R180 diff. Fuel line needs replacing. Electrics need checking/cleaning connectors/tidying. . Brakes work but will need to be checked. 4 steel rims + period 14 x 6 Mags included. Kms MAY be 184619, not sure how many times it has been around the clock.
