Nissan Datsun 240K GT 1979

My Datsun project is for sale due to lack of time and necessary funds.

1979 Datsun C210 Skyline 240K GT. L24 (carb) straight six engine, 5 speed gearbox and independent rear suspension with R180(?) differential.

This particular Datsun was sold by Nissan Datsun NZ directly to a private customer when new, not through a dealership. It may have been an evaluation model at the time. The car appears to be the same as Australian spec Skylines, not Japanese ones.

Overall tidy and complete. Paint has seen better days and is worn and patchy where repairs have been done.

Has some rusty areas, bonnet, left rear door and wheel arch. Minor rust in engine bay and above front and rear screens. Other areas have minor rust. Has an exhaust leak from manifold area.

New oil and filter, new air filter, new battery, near new tyres and near new rear springs. I have found some new and used parts can be bought for this model in Australia and the UK and no doubt Japan as well.

The car is running and drivable and even the air con. still bows cold ! In fact it still drives very nicely, smooth motor and great shifting gearbox with a good ride for it's age !

Registration is on hold, no WOF,

Should be trailered or transported away with change of ownership completed prior.
