Want to raise your sights a bit? 1954 Mk 1 AS Sapphire in good condition. Used almost daily - fully warranted and registered. An agile and dependable classic with many miles left in it. Can keep up with present day traffic and turns heads everywhere - plenty of OMG from the girls. Engine has been rebuilt - rings, pistons and bearings at current Odo 70000 miles. All other maintenance done as required by VTNZ - bearings, brake lines. Restored in the 90s by persons unknown. 4speed on the tree gearbox. AS Club car - would recommend joining for good spares availability. Flashing turn signals have been added as most people cant see trafficators . Full six seater and comfortable ride. Car has been to ChCh, Dargaville and the Coromandel in recent years. Didnt miss a beat. Sassy in Black and silver with red break line - has been to a couple of weddings and loved it. Blue interior may need attention in next 10 years Odo reading is for miles - suspect it may be second time around. Have just restored a Mk 2 Sapphire so I don't really need two of this breed. Includes spare block, gearbox. Running on Bridgestone Duellers. Windshield wipers have been fixed and are not as per photos. Body, Engine and Chassis numbers are for the original car. Good classic entry car at a good price with an excellent club behind it.
