Other TURNER MK2 1960
Description
The Turner Sports car company was in Wolverhampton and built around 670 light tubular chassis cars. The company was named after is founder Jack Turner who died last year. Coupled with the tubular chassis was unique rear torsion bar suspension. Running gear was similar to MG Midget but with modified engines. Many of these cars raced in club racing in the UK and North America and with a good power to weight ratio were very competitive in the 60s. This Turner Alexander modified car with its alloy cross flow head produces 60 BHP compared to 40 BHP for the Midget.
The condition of it is completely unrestored original except for one repaint. It is in excellent running order. The hood and side screens are in good condition and the smiths heater works well. Car comes with a complete documented history from day one including original sales invoice. Having spent a lot of its life in Museums is the reason this car has kept so well. UK club members have said this is the best example of this model that exists.
