The V6 engine is a joint development and went into contempory Volvos, Renault, Alpine Renault, and Peugeot . It also appeared in the DeLorean. Very tough excellent engine and no trouble getting parts for it. These are chain drive engines - no timing belt.
The flagship Lancia Thema also shares the "Type Four" chassis with the Saab 9000, the Fiat Croma and the Alfa Romeo 164.
There is a large supply of spares bought in case the they were needed later on. Spares include: Engine & transmission 4 doors Grill Radiator Front suspension 4 exterior mirrors Headlights Tail lights Front headlight subframe Torsion bars Interior fittings Instrument cluster Other bits and pieces too many to list.
