Other Nash Lafayette 1939

Description
Looking for a new home is this beautiful art-deco styled 1939 Nash Lafayette. Sold new in New Zealand in Auckland, it was purchased by two spinsters who travelled around NZ in it, camping in the car. Handily, the seats re-organise into a double bed in the rear!
It's later purchased by a family who it appears it stayed with ever since, being driven sparingly and used as a church shuttle and a rest home shuttle from time to time, and later passed down to their sons.
The car has 41 thousand miles, believed to be genuine according to the history.
This lovely old Nash drives beautifully, with a 234ci flathead six, and a 3 speed manual transmission on the floor. It keeps up with modern traffic with ease in town, and is most comfortable on the highway at 90km/h
The car has never been restored, and remains an extremely original example. It appears the paint has been touched up in places, possibly a "over the top" repaint sometime in the 60s, but has aged beautifully and looks very correct.
Desirable suicide rear doors add to the character and presence of this elegant classic.
A completely original and very complete interior is in good condition, it's very hard to believe this car is 77 years of age! Fantastic art-deco styled steering wheel and dash make it obvious this Nash was, and still is, a very special car. It also has the factory option rear fender covers, or "spats". A very stylish accessory for the day!
Still running the original 6 volt system, it has proved reliable with no issues starting up. Some spare parts included, others available online from Nash parts specialist at good prices.
The car has been sandblasted and epoxy sealed underneath, to prevent any corrosion from weather, and there are no rust issues on the car at all.
This is a very reluctant sale, but due to a career change I can simply no longer afford to keep this magnificent old car, and so it will need a new loving home with a collector or somebody who wishes to have something truly special.
