Other Sunbeam GT 1967

Selling my series V GT Sunbeam Alpine after 16 years of ownership and lots of fun motoring around NZ.

Vehicle went through a complete bare metal re-spray and restore during 1997/1998 during which everything was reconditioned or replaced including; all mechanical units, engine, transmission, overdrive unit, differential with higher ratio 4.89:1, full rebuilt of front and rear suspension, brake system, interior trim etc. Dash instruments speedo, tachometer, fuel/temp/oil pressure and amp gages all reconditioned.

New twin DCOE carbs and manifold fitted after the restore.

New OE electronic distributor and igniter fitted which gives excellent starting and running performance.

A soft top was also fitted to the vehicle making it a more desirable GT for open top touring etc. There is no hard top with the vehicle.

I have full photographic evidence of the restore and full documentation of its history including original importation, shipping, ownership papers etc.

The original black plates that were fitted to the vehicle new are included and are in excellent condition.

Still drives like new and is capable of 100 MPH (on a race track) and handles well. Will happily cruise all day at 60 MPH plus and has no trouble keeping up with modern traffic.

The vehicle has covered 130,000 miles from new and around 15,000 miles since the restore and still runs superbly in every respect. I
