Triumph 1300 FWD 1970
Description
1970 Triumph 1300 Front Wheel Drive
Mileage: 82,646 miles not kms
Needs to be re-VINed as the plates are not on hold.
Has some gear change problem but is still driveable, comes with 2 spare gearboxes.
Very tidy condition, no rust, had a complete professional respray to original dark blue colour, interior very good (a small rip in headlining has been repaired and there is a small split in drivers seat - as per photo), wooden dash, new floor mats and boot carpet.
New parts fitted include: rings and bearings, timing chain, radiator and hoses, oil and air filters, battery, fan belt, clutch master cylinder, tyres, front brake hoses, rotoflex couplings (rubber driveshaft couplings), seat belts, reconditioned front brake calipers, brake master cylinder, rear brake wheel cylinders, clutch slave cylinder re-kited, rear brake shoes relined, cylinder head had valve grind and planed, converted to alternator from generator.
Spare parts include: 2 gearboxes, steering rack, crankshaft with shell bearings, oil pump, front pully with ring gear, water pump with fan, wheel rim (no tyre), sun visors and interior mirror, flywheel, clutch, 2 drive shafts with cv joints, 2 brake calipers, 1 brake disc, manifold inlet and exhaust, 2 generators, distributor, 2 front hubs, thermostat - water pump housing, input shaft.
This car is my Fathers pride and joy and he's restored it over many years to this condition - unfortunatly heavy jobs like changing the gearbox are too much for him to tackle now, so its not going to be doing the Triumph Club Rally's he had planned. :(
These are now very rare, as not many were sold in the first place due to their high specification and cost when new - that's why they had to develop the cheaper Toledo from the 1300.
Needs to go to another loving home!
Car is located in Otaki.
