Triumph Other 2000 Estate 1968

Factory overdrive Actual odometer reading unknown Rare classic with period modifications-can be easily reverted if desired. Original colour was #34 Jasmine Yellow

Approx. 20,000km since mechanically overhauled. At this time the following was done;

Engine Rebuilt mk2 2500s motor – new rockers, rocker shaft, valves and springs, hardened seats for unleaded petrol, reground camshaft (more torque for road use), new cam followers, .040” pistons, rings, gudgeons and clips, reground crank, new bearings, new oil pump, new timing chain, tensioner and sprockets, new spigot bearing. Block and head refaced – approx. 9:1 comp. New distributor cap, rotor and pertronix points replacement kit, coil, leads and plugs. New Radiator core and electric fan. Electric fuel pump. Cold air intake,K&N filter.

Drive train Used Mk2 gearbox, J-type overdrive, new Quill shaft bearing and reinforced housing. 3.45 ratio diff (with drain plug added). Datsun roller spline half shafts, Rebuilt rear hubs.

Brakes suspension and steering Rebuilt Mk1 Master cylinder and booster, New Mk2 discs and NOS callipers with EBC pads, NOS MK2 front hubs and stubs, 2500s sway bar with new links, Rebuilt mk2 power steer rack, New rubber bushes throughout, MK2 rear suspension +new mounts, new rear wheel cylinders and shoes, drums refaced

Interior New boot carpets and wooden boards, correct “T”bar to unlatch spare wheel hatch. Other carpets yet to be done. Rear screen demister from USA, MK2 2500s speedo and tacho fitted to mk1 bezels oil,temp and fuel gauges in console.

Wheels – 5 x MGB rostyle 14” rims with mk1 triumph centre badges and barely worn tyres.

Body – reasonable but there are some small rust areas coming through - Not structural to my knowledge though.

Spares Car comes with the mk1 2000 motor and A-type overdrive gearbox, most of the original suspension parts, manual steer rack and one more PAS rack and pump. 4.1 and 3.7 ratio diffs, Mk1 gauges in various levels of disrepair, bumper over-riders and more….
