Triumph TR3B TSF 110 L O 1962

This 1962 TR3B is the only known 3B in NZ.Following the induction of the TR4 in 1961 to replace the TR3A there was a demand from American dealers for another run or the classic TR because they felt that the new car would appeal to a different sector of the market.As a result Triumph transferred their tooling to the Forward Radiator Company, who were able to accept the order.The first 500 of these with TSF chassis numbers had the 1991cc engines and the final TCF 2831 units had the 2138 cc engines.Both series have the TR4 all synchromesh gearbox.These were the last,and most desirable,of the classis TRs,because of their specification.... and because of the popularity of the TR4 in Europe,no right-hand-drive were made. After importing 3B from Kentucky USA a very large rebuild took place,new floors,inner and outer sills,new brake items,new suspension bushing, sway-bar,rack and pinion steering,has rare NARDI steering wheel,new leather seats,interior trim and carpet,new side screens,new tonneau cover,soft top in excellent conition. Engine still has standard crank,Grant piston rings,unleaded head with large stainless steel valves,TT valve spring and alloy caps,roller rocker set,light weight cam followers and push rods,unrated camshaft,oil cooler,TR4A SU Hs6 carbs on long manifold,Cambridge Motor Sport stainless steel exhaust system,TR6 clutch cover and plate,fully balanced motor,thin belt pulley with Metro front pully.Many more items are fitted.A type Overdrive on 3rd and top, all rebuilt with correct gearing for speedo.All gauges correct and working. Has traveled many times to North Is rallies,just completed a 1000 miles rally trip in the South Is,returns a very excellent 34 MPG,has never given any problems with the 15800 miles covered since total rebuild.Has won Peoples Choice,won Concours d Elegance 2012 Modified Class TR3 at National Weekend.A great wee sports car to drive has plenty of go and gets excellent comments when on tour.NO TEXTS
