Volvo Other 122 S 1970

This is my Volvo 122 S from 1970, it came from England where it was owned by a doctor who emigrated to NZ and he took this car with him. I have owned the car for over 20 years and it gave us a lot of pleasure but as we are soon living, for a considerable time overseas and we will not be able to use it hence this sale.

The engine has been reconditioned about 10,000 kms ago and runs one large SU instead of the twin su,s, this has given it more torque and easier tuning, it has no trouble reaching 110mph if so required.

The speedo and odometer are in miles and I have no idea what it's true milage is hence estimate of 200,000 but note that the gearbox and diff have been reco-ed and serviced as required.

The car has just been professionally repainted with some new rubbers and trim. The bumpers could do with a re-chrome or s s replica at some time.

The interior has been professionally restored .

New tyres have recently been fitted to the Minilite replica wheels.

It starts,drives and brakes nicely, better than you might expect from a car which was designed in the 50's.

This car came out standard with coil suspension, front disc brakes, power boosted and proportioned to the rear.

It will come with plenty of spares, like twin su's with manifold, original wheels and caps to name some. I have manuals etc.

It will come with it's original steering wheel as I like to hang on to the Nardi wheel.

New parts are easy to obtain, better than most other classics as they are very popular in Europe and the States where they are used as daily drivers due to lower taxes.

This car is ready to take anywhere in NZ subject to normal servicing.

It is priced to sell as it will not be good sitting every year for half it's time in the shed.
