Kawatiri Coffee has been open flame roasting Fair-Trade, certified organic, coffee for over 17 years.

The business has gotten too big for the current owner, and he is looking to refocus his time elsewhere. The plant will need to be relocated and could move anywhere in NZ.

Roasting six coffee roasts.

Supplied to supermarkets (New World and Four Square as it is Foodstuffs accredited), cafes, stores and has a loyal mail order customer base through its website.

Yearly turnover is around 6 tonnes of coffee. Sales show the past two quarters have been the strongest quarters in the past 5 years. Financial information will be provided.

The plant comes complete with professionally engineered gas roaster, cooling system, de-stoner and pneumatic bag loader.

As well as: Commercial grinder, bag sealer, packaging, and a variety of other equipment.

There is a media library for marketing material and product placement. Social media accounts are Instagram and Facebook.

Operations manuals have been developed for all aspects of the business including: roasting; cooling and de-stoning; packing coffee; website manual; Xero; Foodstuffs; and GST.

The current site is near Westport, West Coast; the new owner will need to relocate the business or negotiate a new agreement with current land owner.
