GOLD CLAIM FOR SALE

This claim is located on DOC land in the famous Ross goldfield and is roughly 6ha in size stretching 1km along a creek bed at a width of 100m. It has a current Tier 2 mining permit (for up to 10hp suction dredges) which is valid for a further 9 years.

The claim dates all the way back to the original 1865 gold rush and has seen numerous workings since that time.
The site is a moonscape of tailing piles, old water races, and collapsed mineshafts hidden in the undergrowth, and has also been the site of hard rock mining.

The claim currently has a 10hp twin engine suction dredge operating, run by a crew of three.

The site has definite scope for expansion, and would be suitable for a permit upgrade for the use of heavy machinery.

Testing of the suction dredge over winter has produced results averaging 1gram / m3 in the surface layers of river bed gravel up to a depth of 1m, with dredging times to produce 1gram ranging from 1 to 6 hours depending on the compaction and size of the boulders.

A calculation of the paydirt available on the site indicates that there is in excess of 200oz of gold on the claim.

The claim contains three types of gold-bearing deposits.
Type 1: alluvial river gravel deposits
Type 2: glacial sedimentary sandstone deposits
Type 3: hard rock deposits

The claim is well-equipped with a warm storm shelter and gear storage shed.
