What is a Visa or Mastercard debit card?
A Mastercard or Visa debit card allows you to access funds directly from a cheque or savings account rather than using credit. It also provides you with the option of buying and paying right away, unlike a credit card, which allows you to buy now but pay later.
When can I use it?
Unlike an EFTPOS card, your Mastercard or Visa debit card can be used to purchase goods via internet, telephone and mail transactions.
Where can I use it?
Your Mastercard or Visa debit card can be used to pay for goods and services in all the same locations as a Mastercard or Visa credit card, including online purchases.
