Sellers outside New Zealand
To sell on Trade Me you must be located in New Zealand or Australia, or have specific written authorisation from Trade Me.
Sellers located outside New Zealand must offer Pay Now to buyers.
When sending items from outside New Zealand, you must clearly outline in listings whether there will be any customs import duty on the listed item. For information on customs duty in New Zealand visit the NZ Customs Service website. All sellers must accurately disclose the customs value when sending an item overseas.
All listings must comply with New Zealand law and advertising standards, including intellectual property laws, electrical and product safety laws, movie and game classification and labelling requirements and requirements around therapeutic claims. For more information about what you can’t sell on Trade Me, see our banned and restricted items.
If you are buying from a seller outside New Zealand you should never send money through Western Union.
