What You'll Do
As our Finance Accountant, you'll play a key role in supporting the CFO and ensuring the smooth running of our finance function. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing and delivering monthly management accounts and financial reports.
- Processing payroll, agent commission payments and bonus calculations
- Completing and filing GST, PAYE, FBT and other tax returns accurately and on time.
- Managing accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconciling bank transactions in Xero
- Reconciling balance sheet items monthly and producing prelim reports by 5th of each month
- Assisting with the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts.
- Supporting the CFO with financial analysis and special projects.
- Driving process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy in reporting.
- Providing general accounting support across the business as needed.
- Trust account transactions, reconciliation of receipts and payments to solicitor trust accounts and prepare for audit
- Deal Management
About You:
- You'll bring strong accounting knowledge, with experience in management accounts and tax compliance.
- You'll be detail-oriented, proactive, and highly organised.
- You'll be a team player who thrives in a collaborative environment.
- You'll have experience in either a commercial or CA environment
- Real Estate Industry would be an advantage but not a necessity
- Proficiency with accounting software (Xero)
- Good working knowledge of Excel.
