Field Service Diesel Mechanic

On Site Mechanical Repairs is a locally owned company established in 2017. We specialise in mechanical and engineering repairs on all makes and models of plant and equipment across a wide range of industries—from earthmoving and forestry to marine and road transport.

We are proud to be the Marlborough service agents for Waratah forestry equipment, Liebherr equipment, and Deutz, Gardner, and Lister engines. We are also Parts and Service Dealers for Scania, MAN, Western Star, and Detroit.

We are seeking an outstanding Field Service Diesel Mechanic to join our highly motivated and experienced team of 16.

About the Role: This role involves servicing and repairing plant and equipment both on-site throughout Marlborough and in our specialised workshop located in Kaituna, Blenheim.

You’ll be someone who embodies our motto: “Do it once, do it right,” delivering top-quality workmanship and service to our valued clients.

What We’re Looking For:

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous field service and heavy equipment repair experience
• Possess advanced diagnostic skills in hydraulics and electrical systems
• Be honest, reliable, and a trustworthy team player
• Be able to take direction and work independently
• Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
• Work safely, efficiently, and to a high standard
