As a CablePrice Equipment Technician/ Diesel Mechanic, you will use your diagnostic and mechanical skills to service, maintain, and repair a wide variety of heavy machinery, predominantly in the forestry and construction industries.

The Opportunity

This position comes at an exciting time for CablePrice (long standing Hitachi construction equipment supplier) has just been appointed as the New Zealand importer and distributor for Tigercat forestry and off-road industrial machinery. As a result, we are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Equipment Technician/ Diesel Mechanic to join our dedicated team. This position can be based in Dunedin and would suit a mechanical trades professional who will provide quality, efficient, and accurate service and maintenance outcomes, and isn't afraid of going above and beyond in this exciting, but critical support role.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have the following:

  • Health and Safety Commitment, it is our number one priority here at CablePrice. We look after ourselves and look after each other
  • Heavy Diesel and/or relevant Automotive Qualification
  • Prior experience with Tigercat equipment would be advantageous
  • Mechanical capability and technical skills; diagnosing faults and servicing heavy commercial vehicles
  • Excellent diagnostic ability with analytical thinking to navigate the complex issues that come up in our day-to-day challenges
  • Confidence in your computer literacy and a committed, customer-focused mindset
