The Earthworks Mechanical team are looking for an experienced Field Service Technician / Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join their locally owned and operated Oamaru workshop. This is a varied & challenging permanent role, and a great opportunity to work in a locally owned and operated company working on many different brands. No two days will be the same with a variety of mechanical work - from servicing earthmoving equipment, tractors and farm implements to trucks and everything in-between!
Ideally the successful candidate will have the following attributes: *Be able to diagnose faults and carry out repairs *Be customer focused and be able to maintain good relationships with customers *Willing to work on a wide range of equipment *Be self-motivated and able to use initiative *Ability to manage your own time and work with minimum supervision *Strong health and safety practices *Good team-player with attention to detail *Focused on quality workmanship with good problem-solving skills *A mechanical or technical aptitude *Welding experience *Flexible and able to work overtime during peak periods *Minimum 3 years' experience in the Heavy Diesel trade *Have a full class one and HT licence, WTR endorsement and advantage but not a requirement
