To help us with this, we are searching for a Senior Financial Crime Analyst to join our Risk and Compliance Team based at our Head Office in Invercargill on a fixed term basis.
Are you passionate about protecting financial systems and ensuring operational integrity? We're looking for a skilled and curious professional to join our team as a Senior Financial Crime Analyst.
In this role, you'll support the operational management of financial crime activities. You'll provide subject matter expertise, monitor key obligations, and help shape frameworks and policies that safeguard our organisation.
What you'll be busy with:
- Supporting the operational activity to comply with the Bank's AML/CFT Risk Assessment, Risk Programme and policies including FATCA, AEOI and Sanctions.
- Supports the adherence to internal processes, systems, and controls to manage AML/CFT risks and ensure compliance.
- Assisting with the coordination of key compliance activities, conducts monitoring and quality assurance, and contributes to regulatory reporting.
- Assisting in identifying and investigating fraud and mule cases.
- Providing support and guidance to business units to mitigate and reduce risk, using data analysis, consultation, and best practice insights.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in financial services or operational risk.
- Hands-on expertise in AML/CFT, Fraud, and AEOI frameworks.
- Skilled in creating guidance materials and standardised risk processes.
- Strong organisational planning and attention to detail.
- A curious mindset and willingness to seek clarity.
This role is full time, 37.5 hours a week, worked between 8.3am and 5pm, Monday to Friday.
This is a fixed term role for 12 months with the possibility to extend for a further period, in order to cover the team during a large programme of work.
