YMCA Central is committed to Community Wellbeing, and we have a fixed term, part-time position for somebody to make this ‘come alive’ at Whare Manaaki in Palmerston North.
The focus of this position is to coordinate a programme of activities at Whare Manaaki and on a day-to-day basis you’ll be involved in:
- Collaborating with local organisation and coordinating volunteer initiatives
- Coordinating a diverse range of programmes and pop-up events
- Providing training and mentoring for community members to support them to lead initiatives

Y-Central is committed to Child Protection and the safeguarding of children and young people in our care and it is our expectation that all staff will operate in a way that reflects this intent. The successful applicant will need to return a satisfactory Police Record Check before commencement of employment. Child protection training will be provided and will be required to be completed before commencement of employment.
