Do you love spending time in the kitchen and creating healthy, nourishing meals that bring joy to others? At BestStart Motutaiko Street, we're looking for a passionate, organised Centre Cook to join our team and support the daily wellbeing of our tamariki through wholesome, home-style cooking.
This is a permanent part-time role working 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
As our Centre Cook, you will:
- Plan and prepare morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea
- Create delicious, culturally diverse meals that support the health and development of tamariki
- Cater to a variety of dietary requirements and allergies
- Maintain a safe, hygienic, and efficient kitchen environment
- Use a computer to design menus and manage weekly food orders
- Work within a set budget for food and supplies
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a genuine passion for cooking and healthy eating for children
- Understands the role of nutrition in early childhood development
- Knows kitchen safety and hygiene standards
