Technical Trainer

The purpose of this role is to prepare and deliver high-quality technical training for technicians across our store network, Toyota New Zealand employees, and other key stakeholders. Your training will be based on the TNZ Technical training curriculum and address skills shortages highlighted by TNZ's Service Ops and the dealer network.

This opportunity is permanent/full-time based on-site Monday – Friday at our Head Office in Palmerston North.

What's involved in the role:

• Deliver training for technicians, providing essential information, learnings, and in-depth background knowledge as well as supporting with course development.
• Revise training materials prior to courses and update them as required.
• Update E-Learning modules for various training courses.
• Complete training course reports at the completion of each course.
• Ensure that the Training Workshop is maintained to a high standard.
• Maintain training vehicles and ensure they are up to NZTA standards.

To be successful in this role, ideally you will have:

• Extensive automotive industry experience or previous experience in a technical training role.
• Ideally, a tertiary qualification within adult education.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Competence with Microsoft Office suite.
• A passion for sharing knowledge and information.
• Excellent listening skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
• A full clean New Zealand drivers' licence.
