Are you a compassionate, reliable, and confident individual with a heart for helping others? We're looking for Support Workers to join our clients' care team, providing personal care, companionship, and everyday encouragement.
About the Role:
You'll be supporting a variety of complex clients. Your role will be key in helping them maintain their independence and enjoy life to the fullest.
Key Responsibilities and skills required vary client to client but include:
- PEG feeding
- SPC / colostomy management
- Being able to fit in with client's family life / busy household
- Driving a mobility van
- Friendly and good sense of humour
- Effective communicator
- Calm under pressure
- Assist with personal care routines
- Help encourage and accompany the client on outings
- Drive or accompany the client safely to and from appointments or activities (Some travel around New Zealand may be required)
- Support general wellbeing and daily routines
What We're Looking For:
- A genuine passion for caregiving
- Prior experience in healthcare support work
- Level 2, 3 or 4 health qualification is required
- Comfortable with personal care tasks
- Confident driver with a clean license
- Positive, patient, and proactive attitude
