What we are looking for We're currently recruiting for a Charge Nurse position within a busy, well-supported general practice, where you'll be leading a dedicated nursing team of 7-10 across a multidisciplinary environment. This role has become available due to the previous Charge Nurse stepping into a Regional Leadership role — a clear reflection of the practice's strong culture of growth and internal promotion.

What You'll Step Into This is a hands-on, leadership-focused opportunity with broad clinical and operational responsibilities, including:

• Providing oversight and mentorship to the nursing and health care support team of 7 nurses.
• Collaborating with 9-15 GPs and a regional leadership network
• Driving nurse-led clinics
• Championing quality improvement and clinical audit processes
• Coordinating service delivery aligned with equity and access targets
• Contributing to ongoing service innovation and health system improvements

You'll play a key role in ensuring smooth clinic operations — balancing patient flow, workforce planning, clinical standards, and supporting professional development for your team. Your Background To succeed and thrive in this role, you'll bring:

• NZ Registered Nurse with 5+ years clinical experience
• Minimum 2 years of leadership or team management experience
• Vaccination and smear taker certifications (active)
• Strong knowledge of population and public health frameworks
• Experience delivering nurse-led services in women's health or general practice
• Confident Medtech Evolution user (or similar PMS)

A background in cervical screening, immunisation leadership, or working towards RN prescribing in community health would be a strong advantage. Why This Practice?
