About the Role
As a valued member of our Contact Tracing Team, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Locating individuals in the community who have tested positive for infections such as syphilis and HIV, and facilitating their engagement with Sexual Health care.
- Tracing and engaging intimate contacts of those recently diagnosed with sexually transmitted notifiable conditions.
- Engaging with communities exposed to syphilis and HIV across Auckland, linking them to testing opportunities and sexual health care services.

About the Service
The Auckland Sexual Health Service provides comprehensive sexual health care across the Auckland region. Our Contact Tracing Team plays a crucial role in identifying and supporting individuals affected by infections such as syphilis and HIV.
About you
As an ideal candidate for the role, you will have:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with sensitivity and respect for diverse communities.
- Excellent health literacy and understanding of issues driving inequities in health outcomes.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in health, public health, community engagement, or related fields is an advantage.
