ALDEN LAKEWOOD | PART-TIME COOK | INVERCARGILL
Alden is a privately owned Specialist Residential Aged Care Services Provider. We offer rest home, hospital, and dementia care to the elderly in 19 residential facilities throughout New Zealand, with ALden Rose Lodge located in Invercargill, Southland.
We have a part-time opportunity for an experienced Cook to join our team at Rose Lodge on Fridays and Saturdays, 8:30 am - 3:30 pm, with the potential of additional hours as and when needed for cover.
You will be responsible for assisting with cooking in our on-site, commercial kitchen and ensuring that all nutritional requirements are met.
About the Role:
- Part-time hours, 2 days a week, 1 weekend day required
- You will be providing nutritious and attractive meals to our residents.
- The menu is on a 4-week rotation.
- Ensuring excellent food hygiene practice at all times
- Work unsupervised and cope with a busy environment
- Cleaning up food preparation areas and kitchens
- Operating the dishwasher
- Handling food deliveries
About You:
- Savvy knowledge of food prep and safety
- Knowledge of food safety standards (167/168)
- Food Handling Certificate required.
- Experience in a commercial setting is desired
- Dedicated and reliable
- Caring nature and passionate about working with the elderly
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player
