Do you love spending time in the kitchen creating healthy, nourishing meals that bring joy and wellbeing to others? BestStart Rototuna is seeking a passionate, organised Centre Cook to join our team and support the daily health and happiness of our tamariki through wholesome, home-style cooking.
This is a permanent part-time position working 25 hours per week.
What you'll do:
- Plan and prepare morning tea, lunch, and afternoon tea, focusing on healthy and nutritious options
- Create delicious, culturally diverse meals that support the growth and development of tamariki
- Cater thoughtfully to a range of dietary needs and allergies
- Maintain a clean, safe, and hygienic kitchen environment
- Use technology to design menus and manage weekly food orders
- Work within a set budget to make the most of food and supplies
