Alden is a privately owned residential aged care provider with 19 facilities across New Zealand offering rest home, hospital, and memory care services, employing just over 1000 people.
Located in Viaduct Harbour, this HR Advisor role offers full-time or part-time hours. Open communication and exceptional service delivery are at the heart of this position.
We are looking for a true team player, someone committed to delivering a full range of HR services across the business. This role is hands-on, requiring a proactive approach where solutions are always within reach.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver HR support as the first line coach giving advice on all people matters
- Process payroll for a small group of salaried managers and first point of contact for staff and employees who have pay queries
- Guide Managers on ER and HR process, including support with the documentation
- Support the team in maintaining up to date HR documentation, policy and resources
- Engage with the HR team on projects and new initiatives to drive improvements
About you:
- You'll need HR experience, an understanding of HR policies procedures and legislation.
- You'll be confident in your ability to listen, process information effectively, and find solutions, with the expertise and professionalism to advise and coach managers.
- While you thrive in a collaborative team environment, you're equally comfortable working independently, taking initiative, and solving problems without needing constant direction.
