Production Operator
Location: Rolleston

Position Summary: We are seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Production Operator to join our team for seed bag filling operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating seed bagging machinery, ensuring product quality, maintaining cleanliness in the production area, and handling palletized products with a forklift. This role requires a current Forklift Endorsement or OSH Certificate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate seed bagging equipment efficiently and safely.
- Accurately fill and seal seed bags to required specifications.
- Stack filled bags onto pallets in a consistent and stable manner.
- Conduct routine quality checks on seed weight, bag seals, and labelling.
- Operate a forklift to transport pallets within the facility or to loading bays.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Perform basic machine maintenance and report any faults or malfunctions.
- Machine clean down.
- Adhere to company health & safety policies, including the correct use of PPE.
- Complete production documentation and stock records accurately.
- Assist with other production or warehouse duties as required.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or agricultural processing environment preferred.
- Current Forklift Endorsement or OSH Forklift Certificate (essential).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physically fit – able to lift up to 25kg regularly.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to work in a fast-paced, sometimes dusty environment.
- Flexibility to work varied shifts, including overtime when required.
Working Conditions:
- Standing for extended periods.
- Working in an environment with seed dust and noise (PPE provided).
- May involve work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
