Description
We operate an online and multiple retail stores in New Zealand selling souvenirs and high- quality beauty, health and food products to our customers. We are embarking on dedicated marketing projects targeted at tour groups from specific countries. The target markets are Chinese and Southeast Asians, and we are currently looking for two (2) Tour Coordinators to join us. As the Tour Coordinator, you will report to the Director and will be responsible for developing, implementing and ensuring the continued success of the tour group marketing programs. Your responsibilities will include:
- Planning and coordinating tour group program and visits to our Auckland store(s);
- Planning and reviewing services provided to tour groups;
- Evaluating the success of the tour group program and recommending and implementing improvements;
- Researching and identifying opportunities to expand the tour group marketing project;
- Communicating with travel agents, Tour guide, Drivers and Tour Escorts to ensure smooth operations of the tour groups’ visits;
- Responding to any inquiries from travel agents, tour guides, Drivers and Tour Escorts in relation to the tour group program;
- Creating and distributing shopping cards. Ensuring collection of tour information and itineraries;
- Creating and providing training notes and product lists to the tour guides and tour companies so they know what we have
- Maintaining and managing tour data and records;
- Analysing tour data records for trends and patterns;
- Preparing reports including recommendations for Store Manager and Director in relation to sales and productivity;
- Preparing detailed marketing plan;
- Receiving feedbacks for our guides;
- Providing information about our brand, products, services and promotions to Travel Agents, Tour Guides, Drivers and Tour Escorts;
- Maintaining bookkeeping and CTE, make up and deliver slip to Tour Escorts, Guides and Drives;
- Communicating with Store Manager and Director to resolve any issues in relation to tour groups’ visits; and
- Meeting with Tour Escorts, Guides and NZ Travel Agents, at airport, hotels, restaurants and our stores to improve and maintain services provided. While our initial marketing projects are to run for three to five years, you will be offered a permanent position. Upon the conclusion of the initial projects, the information collected and analysed by you will be evaluated and decisions will be made whether to continue, discontinue, modify or plan and implement a new project aimed at a different market. You will be required to work a minimum of 30 hours and a maximum of 45 hours per week. You must be available to work flexible hours including late nights, weekends and public holidays. You will be paid $26 to $35 per hour based on your skills and attributes. You should have a minimum of 24 months of relevant work experience and good communication skills. Fluency in Mandarin, Malay, Thai and Vietnamese is preferred as the target markets are Chinese and Southeast Asians.
