Duty Manager – Brookfield New World, TaurangaWe're on the lookout for an enthusiastic, hands-on leader to join our team as a Duty Manager – helping ensure the smooth, efficient running of our store during evenings and weekends.
Based in the beautiful Bay of Plenty, Brookfield New World is a proud part of the Tauranga community. We're known for our exceptional customer service, high standards, and positive team culture. As Duty Manager, you'll play a key role in keeping our store running to the highest standard while leading a supportive and high-performing team.
About the Role:This is a fast-paced, varied role where no two days are the same. You'll be responsible for overseeing daily operations, supporting departments, maintaining store standards, and ensuring both our customers and team are well looked after.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading and supporting staff across all departments
- Ensuring smooth day-to-day operations of the store
- Maintaining high retail and merchandising standards
- Handling customer enquiries and resolving issues professionally
- Managing health & safety and security across the store
- Supporting the close/open of the store as required
What we're looking for:* Proven leadership experience, ideally in retail or supermarket operations
- Solid understanding of store departments, especially Grocery
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Physically fit and confident leading from the front
- Calm under pressure with a 'can-do' attitude
- A flexible schedule – availability for early mornings, evenings, and one weekend day is essential
