Heat Pump Installer – Hastings/Napier

We are looking for a reliable and qualified Heat Pump Installer / HVAC Technician to join our team. The role involves the installation, maintenance, and servicing of heat pump and air conditioning systems for both residential and commercial clients across Hawkes Bay areas.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and commission heat pump and air conditioning systems (high-wall, floor console, ducted, cassette units, etc.)
• Carry out diagnostics, fault-finding, and repairs on HVAC systems
• Perform scheduled maintenance and filter cleaning
• Ensure installations comply with NZ Electrical and Building Codes
• Complete all job documentation, including service reports and compliance forms
• Communicate effectively with clients and team members
• Follow company and site Health & Safety policies and procedures

Skills & Experience Required

• Proven experience in heat pump installation or HVAC servicing
• Understanding of refrigeration principles and electrical safety
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and installation manuals
• Strong attention to detail and time management skills
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Physically fit and comfortable working at heights
• Must be a NZ resident/citizen or have an open work visa
• Can pass a pre-employment drug test and no criminal conviction
