BUTCHER
We are looking for a Butcher to assist in the day-to-day running of our small but busy supermarket butchery.
ABOUT THE ROLE:You will be responsible for preparing and cutting meat, assisting with traying and wrapping meat as required, ensuring the store is presented in an appealing manner at all times.
This role will also involve some cleaning and some administrative, in support of the butchery manager.
THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT WILL:* Have previous demonstratable butchery experience, ideally in a supermarket butchery.
- Have a terrific attitude.
- Be self-motivated and be able to work independently.
- Have a high standard of presentation and passion for the industry.
- Work well with others
- Be able to meet and exceed customer expectations; and
- Adhere to the store's principles and values.
- Be physically fit, strong, and with no fear of rolling up their sleeves and getting some hard work done.
- Have an excellent ability to follow written and oral instruction.
- Value punctuality.
ABOUT US:New World Karori is part of the Foodstuffs Co-Operative. We are a locally owned and operated store that is committed to providing the best supermarket experience in Karori.
HOURS:This role is 5 days a week, with Sunday-Monday as the days off. Exact times to be discussed at interview.
As our butchery is a small department, it may be necessary to work additional or alternative days from time to time to assist in covering leave, sickness, busy periods etc.
