1. Organizing, collecting and transporting crews to the farm.
2. Optimizing the performance of the catching team.
3. Induct and Train new recruits on site as and when required, under instructions from the Operations manager.
4. Actively manage the performance of staff within the catching team.
5. Ensuring all the Health & Safety requirements and protocols are in place and being followed and that all PPE and safety gear are available and used, and sign in-out sheets completed.
6. Ensuring that the Animal Welfare Code and the correct catching procedures & techniques are being followed, including monitoring conditions on the farm sites to ensure staff safety.
7. Ensuring the fleet and vehicles have all required equipment on board, and that all equipment and PPE is correctly maintained and sanitized, and that all documentation and WOF/safety checks are up to date. 8. Setting up farm for poultry catching and loading into trucks and ensuring it is properly cleared after catch completion.
9. Ensure that the active STPs and protocols are followed and adhered to and actively manage any non-compliance, and coordinate approach with Operations Manager 10. Assist in poultry catching and loading into crates (When Necessary)
11. Coordinate with the Growers/Farmers and update them of any delays or changes.
12. Report/inform the Operations manager of any significant changes to the night operation
13. Liaise with the Operations Manager/Night Supervisor regarding fleet management during night operations.
14. Handle incidents and accidents as and when they happen and file reports accordingly.
15. Handle equipment break downs in the field and liaise with the affected parties and repair technicians as required.
16. To perform any other duties pertaining day to day operation as and when required

Key Attributes:
1. Entry level management position requiring good business and staff management skills. It is expected that the employee will have existing management training/qualifications or proven experience in managing a team and operations.
2. Excellent time management skills
3. Excellent staff management skills
4. Keen eye for detail is vital, and a drive to work to a high standard and motivate staff to do the same
