Description
Civil Construction Join our Civil Drainage / Construction team, needing 3 new experienced team members. You are essential to infrastructure development, working on projects such as roads, bridges, drainage systems, and other public works.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform a wide range of physical and technical tasks to support the construction and maintenance of civil structures.
- Prepare construction sites by clearing vegetation, debris, and topsoil
- Operate machinery (rollers, loaders or excavators, not limited.
- Assist with laying foundations, pouring concrete, and installing drainage systems
- Transport and position construction materials
- Follow safety protocols and direct traffic around work sites
- Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment
Skills & Qualifications The ideal candidate will need one year of previous drainage or plumbing experience,
- Physical fitness and stamina for manual labour
- Basic knowledge of construction tools and machinery
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Site safe or Construct safe
- Driver’s license class 1 full and WTR
- Additional certifications are advantageous
- 2 references, along with a Drug test is required
Work Environment
- Outdoor work in varying weather conditions
- May involve early starts, long hours, and weekend shifts
- Work is often physically demanding and safety-focused
- Pipe fitters and Drainage specialists are advantageous
- We will also consider candidates with experience in plumbing, pipe fitting and drainage settings, as the need is great.
