Description
SG Equipment is the NZ distributor for the Yale Brand Forklifts.
We are looking for Diesel or Auto Electrician Field Service Mechanics that have experience working on forklifts.
Hours of work will be Monday to Friday 7.30m to 4.00pm with regular overtime on offer @ normal hourly rate (no penal rates). You may also be required to work on Saturday to fit in with our customers schedules. This is a fulltime permanent position.
Training will be provided to get you familiar with our product. You must be trade certified.
Job Description:
- Diagnose faults and identify worn and damaged parts.
- Create preventative maintenance schedules: installing component and part upgrades, controlling corrosion.
- To overhaul items such as motors, gearboxes, diffs and water pumps etc.
- Repair, overhaul, assemble, disassemble and replace major assemblies, components, parts or systems, such power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics.
- Complete all relevant paperwork, job sheets and timecards.
- Repairs and servicing of all customer owned forklifts as well as our rental fleet.
- Perform preventative maintenance on forklifts and other heavy machinery.
- Verify Forklift performance by conducting test drives, adjusting controls and systems.
- Update job knowledge by participating in all training programmes on offer by SGE relevant for you to perform your job responsibilities at optimal levels.
- To ensure that at all times work activities are conducted in accordance with the Company compliance and health and safety management systems
