Store Person / Truck Driver - New Plymouth

We are looking for a Store Person who is predominantly based in the Warehouse but will sometimes help with Truck deliveries to our customers, a Class 2 Truck Drivers Licence is needed for this role.

Job Description: As a Store Person, you will be responsible for maintaining the organisation and freight of our depot as well as timely and safely delivering our goods to our clients. This dual-role position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

• Load and unload trucks.
• Position pallets and sort freight and verify the accuracy of delivery documents and freight.
• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the depot.
• Safely operate and maintain company trucks for the delivery of goods.
• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules.
• Ensure compliance with all food safety and transportation regulations.
• Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and interactions with clients.

Qualifications:

• Class 2 Truck License.
• Previous experience as a truck driver or in a similar role is preferred.
• Forklift license is required.
• Strong organisational and time-management skills.
• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
