BMW 318ti M-Sport 1998

Low mileage 1998 318Ti M-Sport, only done 138,000 KMs - Low for its age.

Much loved and adored car. It has served me well and has been well looked after. It was affectionately named Beamy.

Purchased the car at 85,000 KM a few years ago. Has been used as a commuter too and from work (150km round trip) and to travel back and forth to Palmerston North. So has only had hot running KMs during my ownership.

I have loved the car. Always serviced it on time, always ran on 95 octane and tried to keep it garaged when possible. Currently isn't garage as I have no room in the garage and have shifted houses where there is no off-street parking for this car - reason for sale.

A common fault with these E36s is the cooling system. I had this done as preventative maintenance at 110,000 KM. Was a complete overhaul of the cooling system with new everything. So there won't be that lurking in the back of your mind.

Pros:

Low mileage for age Looks great with the M-Sport package especially when cleaned. The paint still shines like new Well looked after and always ran on 95 Near new cooling system @ 110,000kms Good tread left on the tyres No curbing I can find on any of the wheels - Don't start now! 18 years without a scratch. `Everything is factory stock. No aftermarket parts have been added.

Cons, yes there are a couple.

The headlining is sagging - typical BMW fault that hasn't bothered me as it is only above the rear seats and I never sit back there. The inside lining on the sunroof has come off. It still operates and closes perfectly. `There are a few stone chips here and there which can be expected with the age of the vehicle.

If you are looking for a well looked after, safe, reliable and cheap to run car then this is definitely worth your consideration. Would make a great first car.
