A very nice painting. It is signed Muse and looks like a 59 date. (so am assuming 1959) I do not know the background to this so am selling as is. A helpful watcher has told me "Not sure if this helps sell the painting, but this is actually a portrait of Ann Margret, well known actress and former girl friend of Elvis Presley. Google her. The resemblance is striking, so the painting is a good one." So I have added this to the title, but do not actually know this for myself, so am selling as is, whatever it is. Nice retro picture though. It looks like it may have been airbrushed as I can not see paint brush strokes, but can definitely see the paint on the fibres. I think it is quite a stunning piece. The card around it, or the surround card has spotting etc, but livable. Frame measures approx 560mm x 405mm. Frame has knocks and bangs etc but painting looks fine to me. Again, not an art expert, so am selling as is, but I think it is very nice and very very retro. I think this is quite a find (but could be totally wrong!) so only bid if you will be happy with what you get. We allow pickups, but if you do not want to pickup, then we can send on your behalf for you, but again, sent at your total risk as Couriers and NZ Post do not cover original artwork, collectables, antiques (and heaps of other things) .
